You Have a Book to Write. Let's Finish It.
You’ve been thinking about this book for a while now. Maybe you’ve started it. Maybe you’ve written a few chapters and stopped. Maybe it lives entirely in your head, fully formed but unwritten, waiting for the version of you that finally feels ready.
Here’s what I know after working with writers for nearly two decades: that version of you is not coming. But the book can still get written.
We can start now, not someday. With the right support, you can do it.
What 1:1 Author Coaching Actually Is
This is not a course or workshop. It isn’t daily writing prompts and cheerful (motivating) emails.
{Aside: I don’t know about you, but motivational emails depress me. If someone has to work so hard at keeping me afloat, I’d rather drown!}
So, no. It is none of those band-aid solutions.
This is a committed, high-touch engagement where you write your book and I stay with you until it’s done. Every week you submit your work. Every week I return detailed, specific feedback: what’s working, what isn’t, what to do next and how to make the work shine.
We speak once a week to discuss, brainstorm, or untangle whatever is blocking you. Between sessions, I’m available on email whenever you need me.
You are never alone in this. That’s the whole point.
The Promise
If you can devote 7 to 8 hours a week to your writing, submit your work consistently every week, and have a reasonably good command of the language, you can finish your book in 4 to 6 months.
Yes, in 4 to 6 months. I know what I’m talking about. I’ve taken authors through this often enough to be sure.
I have a tried and tested method, and it works. What it requires is your commitment. I bring everything else.
This Is for You If…
You have a book you’ve been meaning to write—and haven’t.
You started writing but stopped, and you’re not sure you can get it back.
You don’t trust your own judgement about whether your writing is any good.
You know you’ll finish if someone is holding you accountable—but you don’t have that person.
You want someone who will tell you the truth about your work, not just say things you want to hear.
You are done waiting for the right time, the right conditions, the right version of yourself.
What You Get
Weekly feedback on 2,000 to 3,000 words—detailed, specific, and actionable. You’ll know exactly what’s working and what needs attention. No vague encouragement. No wasted words or wasted effort.
One call per week—30-45 minutes, as needed. We discuss my feedback, brainstorm solutions, work through blocks, or simply talk through where the story is going. You decide what we need.
Unlimited email support—questions, doubts, breakthroughs, panic. I’m there.
A clear roadmap—from where you are now to a finished manuscript. You will always know what to do next.
Your Investment
From INR 20,000 per month.
The engagement typically runs 4 to 6 months for writers who submit consistently. The exact investment depends on your project and what you need—we’ll discuss this on your free call.
What Writers Say
“You actually feel like you brought a writing coach on board, so you are not alone anymore in the creation of your story. As someone who also hired a reputed literary agency to assess his manuscript, I can personally say my experience with Ms Dagny was much more collaborative and value-adding.”
~ Mohit Jain, author of What the Young Don’t Tell
“Dagny has been more than an editor for me. She has been a friend and a mentor. My manuscript was still in the developmental phase, my thoughts were unstructured, and my story lacked a clear direction. Dagny helped me crochet my thoughts and tied the loose ends into a beautiful book, which I proudly call my debut novel.”
~ Raman Agarwal, author of Crochet: The Gordian World of Tahir Khan
“She cares not only about your manuscript but your skills as an author too and will push you to be a better writer.”
~ Ashim Basnet, author of The Eyes
A Little About Me
I’m Dagny. I’ve been working with writers for nearly two decades—as an editor, a writing coach, and a reader who genuinely loves stories.
I’ve seen writers abandon manuscripts they cared deeply about because they had no one to tell them they were on the right track. I’ve seen others finish books they never believed they could write, simply because someone was there to say: keep going, here’s what to do next.
That’s what I do. I will stay with you until the book is done.
I have 6 slots available for 1:1 coaching at any time. When those slots are full, I maintain a waiting list.
